Transformative upgrades to an existing inner-city Brisbane property will see a new precinct emerge. The refurbishment of a service laneway, carpark warehouse and an existing prominent building create a series of spaces that celebrate stripped-back original conditions, while introducing refined complimentary detailing.
Seen from the street, a new café tenancy projects into the laneway, while a bar and dining venue is housed in the former carpark to offer visitors an unpretentious experience that revels in the idiosyncratic nature of urban laneways and retrofitted spaces.
A new sculptural staircase, fabricated from mild steel, cantilevers into the laneway to lure visitors’ gaze to the upper level tenancies and encourage movement down Ulster Lane. Lush planting is integrated into forms to create an environment characterised by growth, in sync with the rhythm of the bustling city.
